Library

Do you wish to find out how many quarter peals have been rung at your tower?
Are you interested in researching a special member of your band?
Do you want to know about ringing in Sussex?

The Library contains approximately 300 volumes, including books on Sussex bells, SCACR annual reports and peal records, general interest, method composition etc, plus bound ringing magazines (The Ringing World, Bell News, Campanologia, The Bellringer, Soundbow (SCACR magazine), minute books, postcard albums and scrapbooks.

The most frequently used material includes the Sussex information, Ringing World archive, The Bell News 1881-1915, Soundbow, SCACR Annual Reports and minute books.

We also have a few videos and DVDs on bellringing in general, teaching/learning, bell restoration, bell foundries, and rope-making. Audio-visual materials are available to borrow in return for the postage costs.

We are keen for members to use the library! We also are happy to receive offers of donations, but space is limited and if an item is already in stock we hope that would-be donors will not be offended if we have to decline an offer.
