Team Sussex - 12-ringers drawn from towers across the Association - competed against 8 other teams at Hursley today in the South East 12-Bell Striking Competition. It was a close-run outcome; only 2 percentage points between first and second place!

The local hosts did a fantastic job - thank you! Great organisation, wonderful spread of food, and a lovely welcome. A hard act to follow next year when East Grinstead hosts...

Sussex is the second ever winner of the Mavis Whitehead Trophy - with accompanying sherry and dry roasted peanuts! Mavis was a loyal and dedicated member of the Portsmouth Cathedral band. She liked spending time sitting on her balcony, with a glass of sherry and a bowl of peanuts.

Big thanks to David Perkins, Simon Meyer and all the other people who organise, support and attend our regular Association 12-bell practices at East Grinstead!

Congratulations team Sussex!
