Event Description:
A day of ringing in memory of David will be held at All Saints', Eastbourne, on Saturday 20th January 2024 open to all SCACR members and beyond - please see contact details for Marion below if you wish to register interest.
(8 bells, 16-0-5 refurbished in 2022)
 
Initial details below, subject to confirmation on timings for the quarter peals, open ringing, service and tea.
 
Ringing from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, followed by tea, courtesy of the Mothers Union, and a very short service of thanksgiving in the church.

Message from Pip Pawley:
David had a very long period of ringing - since 1968 (!) He spent many years as tower captain, sometime secretary of SCACR, and more particularly training many young ringers. He was intrumental in re-establishing the band at All Saints Eastbourne in 2006.
 
It is hoped that a number of quarters will be rung in David's memory, not only at All Saints', but at other towers throughout Kent and Sussex.
