Saturday 24 th June 2023.Walk and ring. Battle and Forewood mini ring.
Park at Crowhurst in the morning, walk or train into Battle for lunch and or a look around. Battle bells available from 1.15 p.m. before walking/ driving/ train back to Alan and Louise Pinks to ring on the Forewood mini ring and have tea. The best place to park is at the top of Station Road. Anyone intending to ring at Battle and walk back please park your car there, then catch the train to Battle or walk - the church is a short walk from the station. There is one train an hour, which leaves Crowhurst just before the hour (00:59 past each hour) and gets to Battle just past the hour. Trains back leave Battle at 00:34 past each hour.If you are going straight to the mini ring, please park at the top of station road. When parked walk to the station, cross the railway line by the footbridge, and follow the narrow path for a couple of minutes until reaching the main road. Then turn left and walk down the hill; Southrise is a couple of houses down on the right.
