 hurst Green, where this 9½cwt ring of five in the Grade I listed Norman chu
 rch of St James the Great, with its unusual spire.  The five bells here wil
 l give a chance to practice your Minimus methods, maybe have a go at some D
 oubles methods with no cover or just enjoy a go at "Weasels".\nAfter Ewhurs
 t Green we move on to Bodiam, where the church of St Giles on the hill abov
 e the castle is of uncertain orgin, due to modifications made by in the 19t
 h century.  The bells, however, are of a definite date: all six are Mears a
 nd Stainbank, cast in 1961, with the tenor weighing in at 7cwt.\nLunch is b
 y own arrangement, however the National Trust tearooms are at the bottom of
  the hill.\nAfter lunch we head to Northiam, where the 11th century church 
 of St Mary awaits, with it's 14cwt ring of 6 housed in a square tower with 
 a tall, octagonal stone apire on top.  Four of the bells being Gillet &amp;
  Johnston from 1914 and the remaing two (the 4th and 5th) being 18th centur
