  • 14.30-15.30 - open ringing (rounds onwards)
  • 15.30-16.00 - refreshments
  • 16.00 - Annual District Meeting

Please sign up in advance so we know how many people to cater for.  Cowfold is a ground floor ring with good ventilation.  There is a toilet inside the church.  Parking is in the small church carpark, or the village carpark nearby.

We're always glad to have some more committee members - the committee is a very friendly bunch and we don't have too many meetings! If you think you might be interested, please get in touch (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

How can the District best support training (and recruitment)?
The meeting is an opportunity to discuss how the District can best support its members. The committee is aware that several towers are struggling to ring regularly. What can we do differently to better support training - and even recruitment? We propose to discontinue the current Monday night practices - having 4 different practices once per month each is not frequent enough for effective learning. (If anyone particularly wishes to continue the existing practices, they are welcome to take ownership and organise these.) What should we do instead? We have some thoughts about this, which we'd like to discuss with you at the meeting...

Meeting documents:

The following District and Association Officers are willing to stand again; we welcome others who are interested in joining the committee (contact Steph via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you'd like to get involved).

  • Northern District Secretary (and Central Council Rep) - Steph Pendlebury
  • Northern District BRF Rep - Simon Alford
  • Northern District Committee members -  Rosie Gregory, Chris Westwood, Richard Pendlebury plus proposed new members Julie Quinn and Kye
  • SCACR Master - to be nominationed
  • SCACR Secretary - Hamish McNaughton
  • SCACR Treasurer - Sue Gadd
  • SCACR Trustee - Jonathan Franklin
  • SCACR BRF Secretary - to be nominated
  • SCACR Safeguarding Officer - Val Clay

The Association Teams (groups of volunteers, rather than committees) for Communication (social media, liaising with local news etc) and Training & Recruitment are also looking for Team Leaders. Do you know someone who has the skills to bring to these roles? The Teams support their respective Team Leaders - so the Leader isn't expected to do everything themselves!

We are aiming to run this as a hybrid meeting via Zoom for those who don't wish to join in person (but we can't guarantee the quality of the online meeting!).
