Event Description:

This is a special event being presented in Shipley church by Alan Regin MBE, Steward of the Rolls of Honour.  These illuminated books commemorate the 1400 ringers lost in World War 1 as well as those lost in the Second World War and will be on display.  This event is of special historical importance and we are most fortunate to have the opportunity of welcoming Alan to Shipley. The programme for the afternoon will be as follows:

  • Peal at 2pm, finishing roughly 4.30.
  • People gather from 4.15 to listen to the end of the peal over a cup of tea/coffee & cakes/biscuits.
  • Following the peal Alan will talk about the rolls of honour & the Ypres bells project.  He will be bringing the Rolls of Honour to the presentation.  There will also be a talk about an historical book held in the tower.
