Letter from the
Master…
The Master’s Final Message
Having completed my three years, it has been an honour to serve as the
Master of the Association. To see such a strong Association with
over 1200 members is fantastic. My observations are that we have
a strong Bell Restoration Fund led by David Kirkcaldy, our Publicity
within ringing and to the public is going from strength to strength
with SOUNDBOW at the forefront and our divisional newsletters serving
each division well.
The one thing we must continue to address is our training; my thanks to
Elaine Farrow and Christine Baldock for all their input. With new
ringers coming into the art of ringing, it doesn’t matter how
good the rest of our Association is – No Ringers, No Bells
Rung! So to everyone who reads this, your help is much
appreciated by our learners. It doesn’t matter what you do,
from teaching people to handle a bell, standing behind someone learning
call changes or Surprise, your help and time is appreciated.
My thanks go to the Trustees, Divisional Ringing Masters and Officers,
and of course to Margaret Oram who has been a rock throughout my three
years. I am sure the new Master will get as much support from the
Association as I have.
